All Events Cancelled
The Wollongong Yacht Club committee met last night for our regular monthly meeting. After much deliberation we decided the prudent course of action was to cancel all our activities including races and social sails until at least the 26th April. If the race on 26th April does proceed it will not be a destination race from Pt Hacking. We will review the situation at the committee meeting in mid April and decide on extending the cancellations or resuming our activities.
COVID-19 Precautions
It would seem our best response as a club is to maintain our distance to keep each other healthy. We are generally in the open are so that helps but a few common-sense restrictions will apply immediately:
- Trim is still available for use but the maximum capacity is limited to six people who should be distributed over the boat. Avoid climbing over each other to board or disembark.
- The upstairs club-room is not available for use for groups. Enjoy the room in solitude if you wish to.
- If you have any flu like symptoms please stay home and get well. Do not share
If members wish to sail that is at their own discretion but please be careful and try to comply to the social distancing guides
