Our proposed awning and the heritage objections

As you are all aware we are having difficulty getting heritage approval of the awning over the paved area at the club. Here is correspondence from our local member Paul Scully and Wollongong City Council regarding the need for heritage approval. Paul Scully has been a great suporter of the club and we are very thankful for his support in this matter.
For those who have forgotten we are proposing a retractable awning similar to that at Cronulla Sailing Club, a bit like the photo below without the fancy furniture
